It is for a stair in a warehouse apartment project. We are trying to minimise structure and, hence, are investigating the self-spanning properties of steel. It looks like we’ll use 3mm steel for the balustrade and 4mm steel for the stair.
Spent some quality time testing:
– border / pattern implications
– distortion at the nosing
– shadowing formed by solid parts
– porosity due to the holes
and
– bare-foot-friendliness!
