We’ve been using a lot more computer modelling in the past couple of projects and it has been great as a way of testing larger scale design ideas and small scale details.
Here is stage1 of a larger interior refit of an apartment.
This new robe with shrine area has set the tone and colour pallet for the rest of the works. We are looking at Australia bush colours with timber, brass and stone off cuts as highlights.
The chandelier (top right) and rotating bookshelf (timber to RHS) are part of stage 2. The piano is stage 3.
While we are all very happy with this work, we did not expect what recently happened at 5am – the Owners discovered this reflection on the wall opposite.
Somethings just feel right!
It also reminds us of our very first built project where high level louvres created unanticipated rainbows across the floor. (A detail we now use wherever we can – because who doesn’t need more rainbows?)
