Exploring material finishes.
This project is looking at remodeling an under-utilised, dark entry space in a penthouse apartment.
We are proposing new walls to create a “pod”. The outside skin addresses “Entry” functions with places for coats, umbrellas, shoes and keys.
The inside will be a Pantry / Home study which we are thinking of as a “Chef’s office” or a Studio Ghibli-esque store.
High level windows, a curved corner window and a bank of louvres on their side provide visual links between the new room and the rest of the apartment.
These internal elevations are looking at colour and materials and the legibility of the surfaces.
