Malmsbury massing studies

Some massing renders studying ground levels and how to link outbuildings and a pool at a new project in Malmsbury.
The outbuildings service an existing church that is converted into a residence and add a garage, pool house, services enclosure and watertanks. Figuring out the level changes was the main challenge, the back of the site had been flattened and there was a couple of metres of level change to negotiate to the street.
We proposed new walkways to link the structures and minimise level changes from car to church to pool. Keeping the walkways under 1m off the ground lets them have a handrail but no balustrade making them visually lighter. Sinking the pool fence into a Ha-Ha gets uninterrupted views from the flat section of the site to the parkland beyond.
