Surely no-one is sick of seeing this stair especially as it is now COMPLETE.
The fabulous handrail went in earlier this week. Look at the great curve on the end.
This stair (and a small one at the very top level) is quite narrow (750mm W) due to space restrictions.
We wanted to make them feel like attic stairs and make the experience quite different to that of the wide / grand front stair.
But we also needed to make sure they were not actually too narrow. They are in reasonably high traffic areas, and in situations where you are likely to be carrying things.
Testing the experience on Wednesday, we think the stair ticks both boxes.
